Block starting point at a certain time
Hi, i'm doing a model where the factory reception only receives gear from 8:30 am till 17:30 am.
I set the clock from 8am till 12pm, because i have workers that have shifts till then. The factory keeps receiving gear till 12pm and i don't know how to make some different schedule for the starting point only.

Hi there! An easy way to constrain arrivals is to use Shifts. You can set your Start Point to be only on a Shift which takes place between 8:30 and 17:30. Here's what I found on for implementing this advice:

Does this make sense?

Is there any way to set the 'duration of arrivals' constraint through a global variable? I would like this to be able to change when i change shift length, etc.

Hi NFox, it seems that this cannot be changed via a variable on Visual Logic for example, but what you can do it set the Start Point to a Shift and then make it available at different times when having length changes on other shifts. Here's a command useful for this: https://www.simul8.com/support/help/doku.php?id=features:visual_logic:commands:attach_shift_to_object
