Leading zeroes in spreadsheet cells

I have data in a Google Sheet that I import inti a Simul8 spreadsheet at the start of a run. One of the cells has data that contains leading zeroes (formatted as a text field in Google Sheets). example: 00312345.
When they are imported to Simul8, they are treated as numbers and the leading zeroes are stripped. Can I format a column as text? How can I keep Simul8 from altering the data?

Hey Bob, you can either add an apostrophe manually at the start of each of these cells, or add the 000 together with a text character e.g. A000 to all these cells
